ABA’s Keating to Serve on Bipartisan Housing Commission

Frank Keating, ABA president and CEO, was named a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Housing Commission, a group of seventeen senior figures that will craft recommendations to revive the housing sector and address the country’s future housing needs.

The Commission is led by Henry Cisneros and former U.S. Senator Mel Martinez, both of which were former Secretaries of Housing and Urban Development. Former Senator Kit Bond and former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell will also co-chair the Commission.

The Commission will release final recommendations in 2013, following public forums in:

• San Antonio, TX on March 6, 2012;
• Orlando, FL on April 17, 2012;
• St. Louis, MO on June 5, 2012; and,
• Bangor, ME on July 25, 2012.
