FDIC & OCC Extend Comment Periods on Stress Test Proposals

The FDIC extended from March 23 to April 30 the comment deadline on a proposal that would require agency-insured state nonmember banks and state-chartered savings associations with more than $10 billion in total assets to conduct annual capital-adequacy stress tests due to the complexity and scope of the proposal.

The OCC extended from March 26 to April 30 the comment deadline on a proposal that would require national banks and Federal savings associations with total consolidated assets of more than $10 billion to conduct an annual stress test and comply with certain reporting and disclosure requirements.
