The House Financial Services Committee yesterday approved bills regarding the Federal Housing Finance Agency (H.R. 4264), homeowner warranties (H.R. 2446), and swaps (H.R. 3283, H.R. 4235). The Committee approved all four bills by voice vote.
H.R. 3283 alters the definition of “U.S. persons” and “non-U.S. persons” in order to clarify foreign branches of U.S. institutions are excluded. H.R. 4235 is intended to ensure that U.S. and foreign regulators can share necessary swaps data.
