ABA to Testify on Regulatory Effects on Lending

ABA will testify next week before the House Financial Services Financial Institutions Subcommittee at a hearing to examine the effects of the Dodd-Frank Act on smaller banks’ lending and investment activities. ABA member Bill Grant – who is Chairman, President, and CEO of First United Bank and Trust in Oakland, MD – will testify on the costs of compliance and rules that are harming banks’ ability to lend.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9.
