CFPB’s Office of Servicemember Affairs

Assistant Director of the CFPB Office of Servicemember Affairs, Holly Petraeus, testified before the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs today.
Part of my job, as described in the Dodd-Frank Act, is to “educate and empower service members and their families to make better informed decisions regarding consumer financial products and services.”

The Office of Servicemember Affairs is working hard to fulfill its mission to work on consumer financial education and consumer-protection measures for military personnel and their families.
Petraeus focused on home-ownership and tuition assistance programs for servicemembers, as well as the fraud surrounding these areas.

Read Petraeus’ full testimony.
