The FDIC in late July and early August will conduct six regional informational sessions with community bankers on the two recently issued Basel III regulatory capital proposals that affect their institutions, agency Acting Chairman Martin Gruenberg said.
The regional informational sessions will be conducted July 20 in Dallas; July 23 in New York; July 26 in Atlanta; July 26 in Kansas City, Mo.; July 31 in Chicago; and Aug. 1 in San Francisco.
The FDIC will also post a webcast overview of the two proposed regulations for bankers who can’t participate in the regional sessions and a national conference call—slated for Aug. 3—to answer questions on the proposals.
The FDIC will send community bankers more information on the regional sessions and points-of-contact in the near future.
