OCC Provides Guidance on Capital Planning, Adequacy

The OCC released a bulletin that provides guidance on capital planning and summarizes the agency’s expectations on capital adequacy for national banks and federal savings associations.

The bulletin discusses the OCC’s processes for evaluating a bank’s capital planning and adequacy required by the Dodd-Frank Act, and the various actions the agency may take to ensure the planning process and capital level remain adequate for an institution’s complexity and overall risks.

Read the bulletin.
