CFPB’s First Birthday: Where is this Powerful Agency Headed?

ABA’s EVP for financial institutions policy and regulatory affairs Wayne Abernathy participated in a panel discussion at the American Enterprise Institute entitled : CFPB’s First Birthday: Where is this Powerful Agency Headed?”

The panel discussed a range of topics including the CFPB’s brief history and its use of its extraordinary powers; the cost the CFPB will impose on the private sector; the possibility of CFPB reform or abolishment; and the CFPB’s prospects in the courts.
