The House Republican Steering Committee recommended yesterday that the vacant seat on the House Financial Services Committee be filled by Rep. Frank Guinta (R-NH), a first-term Representative currently serving on the Budget, Oversight and Government Reform, and Transportation and Infrastructure committees.
The vacancy was created by the resignation earlier this month of Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI). The Republican Conference must still approve the recommendation.
