ABA Backgrounder on Mortgage Reform Issues

ABA has posted a backgrounder that outlines the many active and critical mortgage reform issues that will carry into 2013, including the CFPB’s mortgage servicing proposals. From the backgrounder:
ABA continues to be concerned about the impact that unrelenting compliance changes and increasingly complex reforms will have on operations and credit availability. A comprehensive approach to implementation that considers the collective impact of all these rules is needed to ensure banks can efficiently serve their customers and borrowers benefit from an improved process.
