ABA Seeks Member Input on Volcker Rule Alternatives

ABA plans to respond to the House Financial Services Committee’s solicitation of public comment on less burdensome legislative alternatives to the Volcker Rule (see: HFS Committee Requests Legislative Overhaul Comments). The response will include proposed legislative reforms that ABA raised in three comments letters filed in February.

ABA welcomes additional member input for legislative amendments. Because submissions are due to the House panel on Sept. 7, ABA requests that bankers submit their suggestions to the association by Friday, Aug. 31.
