ABA’s Davis Reviews Mortgage Proposals

ABA EVP Bob Davis offered the industry’s perspective on the CFPB’s mortgage servicing proposals in an interview Friday with public television’s Nightly Business Report.
We are behind the concept of the rule. We think some of the implementation is heavy handed and restrictive because it focuses too much on what happened to the few institutions who were large players during the crisis, as opposed to the servicing regime we want across the board for the whole industry in the future.
