The CFPB has requested comments on proposed amendments to Regulation B, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, concerning appraisals. The proposed revisions would require creditors to provide copies and to notify applicants in writing of the right to receive free copies of all written appraisals and valuations developed in connection with a loan secured by a first lien on a dwelling.
Comments are due October 15.
The CFPB has published notice of its intent to consider and address requests receives to determine whether certain provisions in the laws of Maine and Tennessee relating to unclaimed gift cards are inconsistent with and preempted by the requirements on Regulation E, the Electronic Funds Transfer Act.
Comments are due October 22.
