FSOC May Regulate Money Market Funds

The New York Times reports that FSOC may consider designating money market funds as systemically significant, which would open them up to regulation outside the SEC. The consideration comes after SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro gave up a bid for further regulation from the SEC.
