Morrison & Foerster announced yesterday it has hired the top rule-writer from the CFPB. Attorney Leonard Chanin had worked with Morrison & Foerster prior to joining the Federal Reserve as Deputy Director in the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, where he supervised the promulgation of all consumer financial protection regulations. He then joined the CFPB as Assistant Director of the Office of Regulations. He will join the firm’s Financial Services Practice.
