Bernanke: Final Volcker Rule Expected in Early 2013

Regulators have made "quite a bit of progress" in finalizing the Volcker Rule proposal and should complete it early next year, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said yesterday at his news conference following the Federal Open Market Committee meeting. "I think there is quite a bit of agreement, I wouldn't say a final agreement … on key points among the regulators at this juncture," he said.
