CFPB Will Share Complaint Data with State Agencies

The CFPB has been gathering consumer complaints regarding credit cards, mortgages, student loans, checking accounts, savings accounts, credit reporting, bank services, and other consumer loans. The CFPB announced this week it will being sharing this data with state regulatory agencies by proving state regulators with real-time access to the consumer complaint database.

The CFPB noted that in the future it plans to make the data available to other federal agencies, state attorneys general, local agencies, congressional offices as appropriate, and other governmental organizations.
