FTC Submits Dodd-Frank Report to Congress

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a report to Congress explaining steps the agency has taken in connection with new rules on debit card transactions that were put in place last year by the Federal Reserve Board as required by the Dodd-Frank Act. These new rules include restrictions on interchange fees and the prohibition of exclusive networks for debit card transactions. The FTC’s report includes an explanation of recent law enforcement, outreach, and other activities FTC has used to implement these new rules.
