Obama Nominates Jack Lew as Treasury Secretary

President Obama yesterday officially nominated White House Chief of Staff Jack Lew to replace Timothy Geithner as Treasury secretary. Geithner will step down from his position at the end of this month.

Lew, 57, also has served as director of the OMB in both the Obama and Clinton administrations. His nomination will require Senate confirmation.
