The CFPB announced several senior staff hires and transitions yesterday.
Dan Smith, previously director of industry and state relations at Freddie Mac, will be assistant director of the Office of Financial Institutions and Business Liaison.
Catherine Galicia, former senior counsel on the Senate Banking Committee, will be assistant director for legislative affairs.
Galicia replaces Lisa Konwinski, who will become the CFPB’s deputy associate director for external affairs.
Additionally, Hubert “Skip” Humphrey will move from a post as assistant director in the Office of Older Americans to be senior liaison officer.
