The CFPB updated its rulemaking agenda for the remainder of 2013. The bureau expects to issue a proposal on prepaid cards by December; supplemental final rules on remittances this month and on appraisals in August; and final rules on integrating mortgage disclosures under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Truth in Lending Act by October and on Regulation CC in December.
The CFPB also described as in a “pre-rule” phase expanding the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data reporting fields, regulating direct deposit advances, regulating debt collection, and eliminating the annual privacy notice disclosure when nothing has changed.
