FDIC to Host Regional Forums on Capital Rules

The FDIC has announced a series of regional forums for bankers on the new capital rules. The meetings will be held August 1-8 in Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas, San Francisco and New York. Bankers may attend in person or dial in to the presentations.

The forums are part of the agency’s broader effort to educate bankers on the rules and offer technical assistance in identifying which aspects apply to them. The FDIC also has produced a video overview and will offer an expanded community bank guide to the rules, as well as a national conference call on August 15.
