Obama Meets with Financial Regulators

President Obama yesterday met with nine top financial regulators to discuss implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act. Obama "stressed the need to expeditiously finish implementing the critical remaining portions of" Dodd-Frank, the White House said. Obama also discussed housing reform with the agency heads.

The regulators -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, CFPB Director Richard Cordray, Comptroller of the Currency Thomas Curry, Federal Housing Finance Agency Acting Director Edward DeMarco, CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler, FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, National Credit Union Administration Chair Debbie Matz and SEC Chair Mary Jo White -- also discussed interagency cooperation and agency funding levels with the president.
