OIG Report: Opportunities for the CFPB to Enhance Funding Requests and Budget Formulation

The Office of Inspector General of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the CFPB released a report today: Observations and Matters for Consideration Regarding the CFPB’s Annual Budget Process. The OIG “noted opportunities for the CFPB to enhance its practices related to preparing funding requests and posting budget-related information on its website.”

The OIG report included several observations and matters for CFPB’s management’s consideration such as; budget formulation, funding request process, performance monitoring and public presentation of budgetary information.
