GAO Conducted Dodd-Frank Act Regulatory Analysis

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report on Dodd-Frank Regulations. The report found that federal agencies conducted the required regulatory analyses for all rules issued pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Act that GAO identified and reviewed. The GAO found inconsistencies in the agencies determination of which rules are considered major rules under the Congressional Review Act (CRA) and recommends that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issue guidance to help standardize CRA processes.
