Bill Introduced to Eliminate Duplicative, Inconsistent Regs

Representative Shelley Moore (R-WV) introduced H.R. 4466 yesterday. The bill would require certain financial regulators to determine whether new regulations or orders would be duplicative or inconsistent with existing Federal regulations. In addition, Representative Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) introduced H.R. 4463, a bill that would amend the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 to regulate tax return preparers and refund anticipation payment arrangements.
