The House Financial Services Committee passed H.R. 3211, an ABA-supported bill introduced by Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.) that would clarify the Qualified Mortgage points and fees test so as not to harm wholesale originators.
Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) delayed votes on several other regulatory relief bills scheduled for yesterday. The votes will be rescheduled for some time after next week’s House recess.
