CFPB Director Richard Cordray announced the bureau’s partnership with Rhode Island’s Office of Library and Information Services, building on the national pilot project announced in April. Within two months, the library partnership has grown to more than 50 library systems including nearly 400 library branches.
The CFPB has teamed up with community libraries as a way to increase availability to financial education resources and tools in hope of improving financial literacy among consumers.
