OCC Announces Top Supervisory Staff Changes

The OCC announced that John Lyons, senior deputy comptroller for bank supervision policy and chief national bank examiner, will retire on August 1 after 37 years at the agency.

Lyons will be succeeded by Jennifer Kelly, currently senior deputy comptroller for midsize and community bank supervision and a 35-year veteran of the agency. Kelly will in turn be replaced by Toney Bland, the OCC’s deputy comptroller for the northeast region.
