The OCC will host two workshops in Minneapolis, July 22-23, for directors of national community banks and federal savings associations. The Compliance Risk workshop “provides directors with the basic components of a good compliance program,” said Paul Groot, Assistant Deputy Comptroller for the Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, offices and Compliance Risk Instructor. “We teach directors to ask questions of their management teams to ensure the process is working as it should.”
The risk assessment workshop discusses the OCC’s approach to risk-based supervision, as well as best practices to identify and control risk. Interactive sessions will cover credit risk, interest rate risk and the regulatory environment.
