SEC Names Chief Accountant

The SEC named James Schnurr as chief accountant, replacing Paul Beswick, who has held the position since 2012. Schnurr will join the SEC in October following a nearly four-decade career at Deloitte. He is expected to coordinate efforts for the SEC related to the application of International Financial Reporting Standards in the United States.
