Congress: Transparency Needed in Auto Finance Guidance

Rep. Marlin A. Stutzman (R-IN) and 13 other members of Congress introduced a bill titled Reforming CFPB Indirect Auto Financing Guidance Act (H.R. 5403). The bill, which was referred to the House Committee on Financial Services, would require the CFPB to be transparent in their process when issuing auto finance guidance.

The bill was introduced on September 8 and currently has 39 sponsors.
