ABA Issues Staff Analysis of Privacy Notice Rule

ABA issued a staff analysis of the CFPB’s newly finalized alternative delivery approach for the annual privacy notice. The alternative allows banks to eliminate annual mailings if nothing has changed and post the notice online.

The analysis covers conditions that must be met to use the alternative approach, the CFPB’s model form and the required notice about the privacy notice’s online availability.
