With bank regulators already using the latest release of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data to target institutions for fair lending scrutiny — and with the CFPB planning a dramatic expansion in what banks must report — ABA will host a Nov. 19 briefing and webcast on what lenders, risk managers and compliance officers need to know.
The briefing will cover highlights from the 2013 HMDA data, as well as proposed changes in future HMDA reporting, which ABA and the state associations have previously said are overbroad and unnecessary. The briefing will also explore how bankers can improve practices in managing data integrity, as well as new developments that affect fair lending and CRA compliance.
