SEC Publishes Final Rules, Proposal on Security-Based Swaps

The Securities and Exchange Commission today published two sets of final rules, as well as a proposed rule, related to the registration of security-based swap data repositories and the reporting and dissemination requirements for security-based swaps transaction data. The commission voted to approve the rules in January. The rules, which implement elements of Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Act, are designed to enhance transparency in the market for security-based swaps.
