FDIC Advisory Committee on Community Banking Meets Today

The FDIC’s Advisory Committee on Community Banking meets today in Washington, D.C. Items on the agenda include FDIC assessment rates, consumer compliance policy issues, risk management supervision issues and recent FDIC meetings on de novo banks and developing the next generation of community bankers.

Nine of the 13 members on the panel – which meets three times a year – are leaders of ABA member banks. The group provides input to the FDIC on a variety of issues affecting community banks.
